Direct Manufacturer of 1Cr6Si2Mo Heat-Resistant Steel Plate and Round Bar
Guoshuo's 1Cr6Si2Mo steel is a molybdenum heat-resistant steel of the martensitic type, exhibiting good oxidation resistance at 800°C. Compared to 1Cr5Mo steel, it contains 1.5% more silicon, which increases the steel's tendency towards temper brittleness, leading to brittle fracture in parts under prolonged high-temperature operation. The steel demonstrates excellent corrosion resistance in sulfur-containing oxidizing atmospheres and hot oil media. It offers high tensile and creep strengths after normalization and tempering treatments. The steel may exhibit quenching cracking if cooled too rapidly after hot working; therefore, it should be cooled slowly.
1Cr6Si2Mo steel plate's process properties:
1. Smelting: Electric furnace smelting.
2. Hot Forging: Starting forging temperature 1160°C, finishing forging temperature 850°C, cooled by sand or stack after forging. This steel exhibits quenching cracks due to air quenching after hot forging; it should be cooled slowly. Additionally, the steel has a tendency to decarburize, so during heating, the temperature stage should ensure uniformity in cross-sectional temperature. If the holding time is extended, a reducing atmosphere should be maintained.
3. Cold working: Thin plates (<3mm) can be bent and rolled at room temperature. For more complex shaping, preheat to 200°C to enhance plasticity. If significant deformation is required, it can be done in stages with stress-relieving annealing in between.
4. Machining Performance: Adequate cutting performance; due to higher chromium content, it is more粘 and more ductile.
Applications of 1Cr6Si2Mo steel:
Boiler hangers, economizer tube clips, and locating plates for temperatures below 600°C, as well as gas turbine cylinder liners for temperatures below 650°C, are also widely used in the oil industry and more.
