Brazilian Banana(Species: Mimosa nana Lour.)Monocotyledonous plants, perennial robust herbs, with rhizomes, leaves arranged in a spiral, sheaths layered and overlapping to form a pseudostem; large leaves, broadly ovate to elliptic, with a robust midrib and numerous parallel lateral veins. Distributed in tropical regions of Asia and Africa, there are 3 genera and 12 species in China, including cultivated ones. Flowers are either unisexual or bisexual, arranged in spikes or cymes within large, often colored bracts; flowers in the lower bracts are female or bisexual, while those in the upper bracts are male. The petals are fused to form a tube with a toothed apex, with the central petal of the inner whorl being free and developing 5 stamens; the ovary is inferior, with 3 chambers; there are many ovules, borne on the mid-axis placenta; the fruit is fleshy berry or leathery, indehiscent.

Planting can be done from February to March in spring, April to May in summer, or August to October in autumn. Choose land with deep soil layers, loose and fertile soil, easy drainage and irrigation, open terrain, good air circulation, and less prone to cold air accumulation for banana plantations. The planting specification is 2.25 meters by 2.7 meters or 2 meters by 2.2 meters, with 110 to 150 plants per mu. For double-row planting, it is 200 plants per mu.
