Product Introduction

Feizixiao is a variety of litchi, also known as Luotangpu and Yuhuobao. The late Tang Dynasty poet Du Mu had a poem: "One rider gallops through the red dust, the empress' smile is known, but no one knows that litchis have arrived." That's how the variety Feizixiao got its name.
This variety boasts large fruits, thick flesh, attractive color, small seeds, and a sweet taste, with excellent quality and flavor. It is primarily distributed in Guangdong and Guangxi provinces, and is one of the mid-early ripening varieties.
The Fēizǐxiào variety is characterized by robust growth, easy propagation, tolerance to fertilization, preference for water, thick branches, and large leaves. This variety is sensitive to calcium deficiency in the soil; under conditions of not applying calcium fertilizers for many years, the leaves gradually shrink, branches become shorter, and leaf tips and edges turn yellow, resulting in the so-called "Fēizǐxiào degeneration phenomenon." The Fēizǐxiào is also sensitive to soil water deficiency; during the dry seasons of autumn and winter, severe soil drought can cause sunburn on the leaves, affecting the growth and quality of the flower spikes.
This variety is "early maturing, between March Red and Black Leaf in ripening time, with large fruit shape." The fruit becomes ripe from late May to mid-June. The fruit of this variety is sweet and edible before it turns red, but its quality declines once it's fully red and overripe.
