Nanyang Red Banana is a fruit variety introduced to Guangxi Province by the Science and Technology Department in 2001 from Malaysia. It boasts strong cold resistance, vigorous growth, large fruits, attractive appearance, pink color, high sugar content, rich aroma, and excellent taste. The skin is red and thick; the flesh is pale yellow, with fine texture. The unripe skin is purple-red and slightly blackened, turning red upon ripening. It has excellent storage durability, the skin is less prone to damage, and the fruit flesh is full and uniform, with a smooth texture and a fragrant, delightful taste. The sugar content is slightly lower, and it emits a orchid-like fragrance. It is also rich in nutrition, with a high vitamin content. The yield of red-skinned bananas is low, as only one box can be found among dozens of trucks of King Bananas, and the price is high. However, this does not diminish its popularity, especially as the red color of the banana has a festive vibe. Some consumers even gift it to express their good wishes to friends and family.
