Rice Apples, also known as Glutinous Apples, have pseudostems that reach 2 to 3 meters in height, medium-thick stems, long spikes, and long fruit fingers. The fruit is straight with slight curvature, with faint ridges, and the skin is emerald green with a sprinkling of white powder. The skin becomes thin after ripening, with a pale yellow or yellow color. The flesh is smooth, sweet, and has a faint fragrance. Typically, each plant yields 10 to 20 kilograms, has good wind resistance, and is highly tolerant of cold weather, as well as strong resistance to Black Sigatoka and leaf spot diseases.
