Product Description

Main Stem Pruning Update: For young trees, single stem pruning is primarily used. For one-year-old jujube trees, prune at 30 cm above the ground to induce lateral branches. Select robust, well-positioned, and four to five lateral branches facing outward to serve as the main stems. Remove small buds before they reach 1.5 meters in height.
Long shoot pruning: After fruit harvest, leave the old main branches 1-1.5 meters long, and saw off the rest of the branches except for those used as supports. Side branches can grow after 30 days. Cut the side branches to 50 cm long to promote new small branches. Flowers can develop in the leaf axils of these small branches, which can accelerate early fruiting. However, this pruning method requires ensuring that the new main branches have robust and appropriately positioned small branches. Otherwise, the branches may be too small or nutrient-deficient, leading to poor fruiting rates, poor fruit quality, and easy aging of the trunk. It is recommended to avoid or minimize this method.
Pruning: After the main trunk is updated and pruned, the plant has vigorous shoot growth. Before the peak flowering season, prune the main branches appropriately to promote branching. However, avoid crown crossing. Before flowering, remove dense branches, and after fruiting, prune the top parts of branches that are too low or near the ground. Maintain good ventilation and sufficient light in the orchard for abundant yield.
