The Big Black Carbon Bayberry is a tree of the Myricaceae family. Named for its dark purple, tar-like fruit when ripe, it is a superior variety from Yuyao, the main cultivation species of Yuyao City, hence also known as Yuyao Bayberry. It has been promoted to various provinces and regions in southern China, known as Science Bayberry in Guizhou, Cross Bayberry in Jiangxi, and Big Tree Bayberry in Yunnan. This variety boasts wide adaptability, early fruiting, and high yields, demonstrating its early fruiting and high-yielding capabilities in various production conditions across multiple regions, making it a key variety promoted in China.
