Boiler exhaust mufflers are manufactured based on the micro-perforated plate noise reduction principle. The steam discharge from power plant boilers typically has high velocity, and high velocity has a significant impact on noise reduction for small apertures. Therefore, we first need to control the flow; after the initial flow control, the steam then enters the expansion chamber for further pressure reduction and noise reduction. After the steam is subjected to a large volume of pressure reduction, it forms low-pressure steam that is ejected. During this process, the airflow is ejected through small orifices. After ejection, the sound power in various frequency bands is reduced, and the sound pressure level frequency is pushed above 20,000 Hz, significantly diminishing the noise. However, secondary noise at certain frequencies still requires additional noise reduction. We install a resistive sound-absorbing cotton structure outside the expansion chamber, which is designed based on the frequency spectrum characteristics of the remaining noise emitted by the pressure reduction body, to effectively absorb the residual noise. After the user installs it as required, the total noise reduction should reach 30-60 decibels, meeting the required standards.
