Composition
HL52-2 epoxy asphalt anticorrosive coating is a two-component paint made from raw materials such as epoxy resin, coal tar asphalt, pigments, fillers, solvents, and curing agents.
Performance
The coating is hard, wear-resistant, has good adhesion to the substrate, excellent water resistance, microbial resistance, and good chemical resistance along with certain insulating properties.
Application Scope
HL52-2 Epoxy Asphalt Coating boasts excellent corrosion resistance, and is resistant to moisture, water, saltwater, soil, and microorganisms. It also has certain insulating properties, and can be widely used for corrosion protection on various equipment and facilities:
Pipe外壁corrosion protection for oil, gas, and water transportation pipelines.
Corrosion protection for wastewater ponds.
Coal mine shaft structure anti-corrosion.
Corrosion protection for steel and concrete structures' surfaces. However, equipment exposed to sunlight is not recommended for use.
Corrosion-resistant for steel in severely alkali-saline soil.
Corrosion protection for underwater parts of ports, docks, marine facilities, and vessels' hulls and holds.
Construction Method
1 Colorant mixing
1.1 This product is a two-component paint, consisting of Component A and Component B. Before use, both components should be mixed separately and thoroughly.
1.2 Ratio
Component A: Component B = 1:1
1.3 When mixing, ensure accurate measurement, and stir thoroughly immediately after mixing. After thorough mixing, let it mature for 15-30 minutes. It's ready for use after maturation; extend the maturation time in winter due to lower temperatures. Use the mixed material within 2 hours to prevent thickening and solidification, which could lead to loss.
1.4 The paint is recommended for application at temperatures above 5°C, as curing and cross-linking proceed slower below this temperature.
2 Coating Methods
2.1 Surface Treatment: Steel surface is blast cleaned or shot-peened to Sa2.5 grade or manually and mechanically abraded to St3 grade.
2.2 Coating Methods: Brush painting and high-pressure airless spraying can be used.
2.3 Apply the primer to the clean pipe body as soon as possible, followed by the topcoat or glass fiber wrapping. Wrap spirally when applying the glass fiber, ensuring it is tight with no creases or gaps, with a 20mm overlap, and layer by layer until meeting the design specifications. When wrapping the glass fiber, the direction should be opposite to the previous layer to enhance the integrity of the coating layer. The mesh of the surface glass fiber should be completely covered by the topcoat, resulting in a glossy finish.
2.4 The HL52-2 Epoxy Asphalt Paint is a two-component coating; it generally cannot be arbitrarily added with a solvent during use.

Safety Precautions
Construction site: No open flames allowed. Ensure good ventilation when working in sealed containers; construction personnel must wear protective masks. Do not perform patching work on welds that have just been finished by electric welding when the weld seam is hot. After construction is completed, clean the tools with a solvent.
Packaging and Storage
HL52-2 Epoxy Asphalt Paint, both A and B components are packaged in 20Kg iron drums.
This paint is flammable; storage warehouses must be well-ventilated and kept away from open flames and direct sunlight.
This paint is valid for one year from the date of manufacture. After one year, if it passes inspection, it may still be used.
