Composition
HL52-2 epoxy asphalt anti-corrosion paint is a two-component coating made from epoxy resin, coal tar pitch, pigments, fillers, solvents, and hardeners.
Performance
The coating is hard, wear-resistant, has good adhesion to the substrate, excellent water resistance, antimicrobial, and offers good chemical resistance and certain insulating properties.
Application Scope
HL52-2 Epoxy Asphalt Coating boasts excellent anti-corrosion properties, as well as resistance to moisture, water, saltwater, soil, and microorganisms. It also has certain insulating capabilities and can be widely used for anti-corrosion protection on various equipment and facilities.
Pipe exterior anti-corrosion for oil, gas, and water transmission pipelines.
Corrosion protection for wastewater ponds.
Coal mine shaft frame anti-corrosion.
Corrosion protection for the surface of steel and concrete structures. However, equipment exposed to sunlight is not recommended for use.
Corrosion protection for steel in severely alkali-saline soil.
Corrosion protection for underwater parts of ports, docks, marine facilities, and vessels' hulls and watertight compartments.
Construction Method
1 Colorant mixing
1.1 This product is a two-component paint, consisting of Component A and Component B. Before use, both components should be mixed separately and thoroughly.
1.2 Ratio
Group A: Group B = 1:1
1.3 Be sure to weigh the ingredients accurately and mix them thoroughly immediately after blending. After thorough mixing, let the mixture rest for 15 to 30 minutes to mature. It is ready for use after maturation; in winter, when temperatures are low, extend the maturation time accordingly. Use the mixed material within 2 hours to prevent thickening and solidification, which could result in waste.
1.4 This paint should be applied at temperatures above 5°C; curing and cross-linking will be slower at lower temperatures.
2. Coating Methods
2.1 Surface Treatment: Steel surface is treated with shot blasting or sandblasting to achieve Sa2.5 grade or manually and mechanically to reach St3 grade.
2.2 Painting Methods: Brush painting, high-pressure airless spray, etc., can be used.
2.3 Clean the tube surface as soon as possible and apply the primer. Then, apply the topcoat or wrap with glass fabric. Wrap in a spiral pattern, ensuring the glass fabric is tight without creases or gaps, overlapping by 20mm. Apply layer by layer until meeting the design specifications. When wrapping the glass fabric, the wrapping direction should be opposite to the previous layer to enhance the tightness of the entire coating. The mesh of the top layer glass fabric should be fully covered by the topcoat, resulting in a shiny surface.
2.4 HL52-2 Epoxy Asphalt Paint is a two-component coating and generally cannot be freely added with solvents during use.

Safety Precautions
Construction site, NO open flame allowed. Ensure good ventilation when working inside sealed containers, and construction workers must wear protective masks. Do not perform jointing work on welding joints that have just been finished and are still hot. After completion of construction, tools should be cleaned with a solvent.
Packaging and Storage
HL52-2 Epoxy Asphalt Paint, both A and B components are packed in 20Kg iron drums.
This paint is flammable; storage warehouses must be well-ventilated and kept away from open flames and direct sunlight.
This paint is valid for one year from the date of manufacture. After one year, if it passes inspection, it can still be used.
