The Emax 2 is a new type of low-voltage circuit breaker with a rated non-interruptible current up to 6300A. From traditional simple to precision complex electrical systems, the new Emax 2 breaker can effectively control them simply and quickly, with minimal environmental impact, making it a splendid transformation from a circuit breaker to an "energy manager."
Efficiency
All low-voltage electrical systems, from industrial equipment, marine applications, traditional power generation, and renewable energy systems, to buildings, shopping centers, data centers, and communication networks, can be controlled and managed by the Emax 2 air circuit breaker. To reduce energy consumption and minimize waste, it is necessary to maximize the efficiency of the electrical system, which requires intelligent management of distribution and power usage. Therefore, the Emax 2 circuit breaker employs new technology to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the electrical system while also reducing energy consumption, achieving energy conservation and environmental protection.
Control
The unique Ekip Power Controller feature of the new Emax 2 circuit breaker can monitor the electrical energy it manages, keeping it below the user-defined thresholds. This function effectively controls energy consumption peaks, thereby saving electricity costs. ABB's patented "Ekip Power Controller" function can disconnect lower-priority electrical equipment (such as electric vehicle charging stations, lighting, or refrigerators) when the electrical system approaches its energy consumption limit, and reconnect them when it recovers to an appropriate level. Auxiliary power sources, such as generators, can be automatically activated if needed. Load limits can be set on the Emax 2 to control all downstream circuit breakers (even those without measurement functions) without the need for an additional monitoring system. For electrical systems already equipped with an energy management system, load limits can also be remotely modified. The Emax 2 circuit breaker is equipped with the latest protective disconnection devices, making programming and reading more convenient. The Ekip Touch disconnection device can measure power and electrical energy, save nearby alarms and abnormal events, as well as measurement values, to prevent electrical system failures or effectively disconnect when necessary. Grid analysis functionality can also be provided if required. It can control the quality of the consumed electrical energy in real-time. Additionally, the innovative Ekip G Touch and Ekip G Hi Touch disconnection devices include all the necessary functions for generator protection. This safety control solution is always available without the need for external monitoring devices or wiring.
