Wire rope mesh is woven from wire ropes (tensile strength of 1770Mpa, breaking tensile force > 40KN) and "fixed" at the nodes with cross knots, serving as one of the main characteristic components of the protective mesh. In active protection, it achieves slope reinforcement through the coverage of the wire rope mesh. In passive protection systems, its flexible characteristics fully embody the philosophy of "soft overcoming hard," effectively intercepting collapsing rocks and stones.
Features of Wire Rope Mesh:
1. Eight endurance: wear-resistant, heat-resistant, cold-resistant, acid/alkali-resistant, flame-retardant, ozone-resistant, flexible, and corrosion-resistant.
2. Flame-retardant, tear-resistant, and long-lasting.
High tensile strength, low elongation, good notch sensitivity, and impact resistance.
Wire Rope Net Applications:
Suitable for steep mountainous terrain adjacent to construction facilities with buffer zones, the wire rope mesh, a key component of the SNS system, intercepts rockfalls, flying rocks, avalanches, and mudslides outside of the construction facilities, thus avoiding damage to the structures. It must transfer the impact loads from falling rocks to the support ropes, anchor ropes, and other components, ultimately to the anchor bolts.
