The material is selected based on the usage environment; stainless steel 201 can handle most applications that do not come into contact with acidic, alkaline, or corrosive materials. In contrast, stainless steel 304 is needed. For temperatures above 600 degrees Celsius, 304 is insufficient; stainless steel 316 is required to meet the standards.
