Steel Grating Introduction
Steel grating, also known as steel grate or grating plate, is made by welding flat steel and twisted steel. Durable and more economical compared to other products, it is primarily used in power plant platforms, parking lots, maintenance platforms, manhole covers, and tread plates. It is also used in environmental protection equipment and wastewater treatment due to its superior performance and is increasingly adopted. The gap width between the grating bars can be adjusted according to the method of waste removal and pump requirements; manually cleaning the gaps typically ranges from 16 to 25mm. The grating before sand or sedimentation basins usually ranges from 15 to 30mm, with a maximum of 40mm. Common mechanical debris removal equipment includes chain-type, mobile, and wire rope traction grating cleaners. Gratings are divided into coarse, medium, and fine based on the spacing of the grating bars. By the method of debris removal, they are categorized into manual, mechanical, and hydraulic cleaning grates. The construction features lead to various forms such as raking, reciprocating, curved, rotating, drum, spiral, and stepped. Grating equipment is generally used in the influent channels of wastewater treatment or at the inlet of lift pump stations to remove larger suspended or floating debris, reducing the workload of subsequent treatment processes and protecting pumps, pipes, and instruments. When the intercepted debris volume exceeds 0.2 m3/d, mechanical debris removal is typically used; for volumes less than 0.2 m3/d, manual removal or mechanical removal can be employed.
Features
Steel grating primarily has the following characteristics:
High strength, lightweight structure
Excellent corrosion resistance and durability
3: Aesthetically pleasing, with a glossy surface
4: No dirt accumulation, no snow or rain buildup, no water pooling, self-cleaning, easy to maintain
Ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, anti-slip, and explosion-proof.
6: Easy to install and dismantle
