In the boiler feed water treatment process, deoxygenation is a very critical step. Oxygen is the primary corrosive substance in the feed water system and boiler. The oxygen in the feed water should be removed quickly, otherwise, it will corrode the boiler feed water system and components. The corrosion produces iron oxide, which enters the boiler, settles or adheres to the boiler tube walls and heating surfaces, forming difficult-to-dissolve iron scale that leads to poor heat transfer. Moreover, corrosion can cause pitting on the inner walls of the pipes, increasing the resistance coefficient. In severe cases of pipe corrosion, pipe accidents may occur. Two.Operating Principle
The deaerator generally includes two working processes.:
1.One-time Oxygen Removal: Water not deoxygenated enters the deoxygenation pipeline through the inlet, is ejected as a mist through nozzles, and falls. It passes through a liquid-vapor network, where it thoroughly mixes with steam entering through the steam inlet. This results in the mist reaching the deoxygenation temperature, with most of the oxygen in the water being released and expelled through the exhaust port, thus completing the one-time deoxygenation.
2.Deoxygenation II: The purpose of the second deoxygenation is to ensure that the temperature inside the tank is consistently maintained at the deoxygenation temperature to maximize the deoxygenation effect. This process is achieved by heating the already deoxygenated water through the auxiliary heating port at the bottom, allowing the oxygen not released during the first deoxygenation to fully precipitate out, significantly reducing the oxygen content in the water. At this point, the second deoxygenation is complete.
