Regularly inspect the integrity of the storage roof cover and the tightness of the bolts. Schedule maintenance for the roof channels to prevent leaks from the feeding holes, channel plates, and rain shields, as well as rust spots on the components' surfaces. Address rust spots promptly. Regularly check the overall welded storage roof and the welds on the roof, and determine if necessary preventative measures are needed. Also, regularly inspect the surface rust and leakage conditions of the process openings (including ventilation openings, personnel doors, temperature measurement holes, and mounting bases), etc.
During each filling or emptying of the silo, inspect for wall deformation, pay special attention to the observation of areas such as the clearances and support legs, and keep a record of the inspection for filing. Check the wall for rust, and apply anti-corrosion treatment based on the inspection findings.
After each emptying, inspect the body for door seal integrity, any cracks around the door, and the connection between the reinforcing ribs and the wall. For conical-bottomed bins, check the root of the cone, and treat it with anti-corrosion or other procedures based on the inspection. Annually, inspect the fastening bolts of the straight ladder for loosening, and check for any damage to the materials used, treating them with anti-corrosion or other procedures as needed.
So, when in use, consider how to protect it. Good protection can extend its usage time and also allow for timely detection of any damage to the steel storage silo.
