Regularly inspect the integrity of the warehouse roof cover and the tightness of the bolts. Schedule periodic maintenance for the roof channels to prevent leakage from the feed openings, channel plates, and rain shields, as well as rust spots on the components' surfaces. Treat rust spots promptly. Regularly check the overall welded roof and the roof welds, and based on the inspection, determine the necessity of preventive measures. Conduct surface rust and leakage inspections for the process openings (including ventilation openings, personnel access doors, temperature measurement holes, and mounting brackets, etc.).
During each filling or emptying of the storage tank, inspect for any deformation in the tank walls. Pay particular attention to areas such as the channel supports and legs, and keep detailed records for documentation. Check the condition of the tank wall corrosion and apply anti-corrosion treatment based on the inspection findings.
After each emptying, inspect the body of the storage tank for door sealing integrity, any cracks around the door, and the connection status of the reinforcing ribs to the tank wall. For conical bottom tanks, check the root area of the cone, and apply corrosion prevention or other treatments based on the inspection findings. Annually, inspect the fastening bolts of the straight ladder for loosening, and check for any damage to the materials used, applying corrosion prevention or other treatments as needed.
So, when in use, consider how to protect it. Good protection can extend its usable time and also allow for timely detection of any damage to the steel storage silo.
