Lignin fiber is an organic fiber primarily used in road paving as an indispensable stabilizer. Lignin fiber is usually fluffy, but in some cases, such as in Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) road surfaces, the lignin fiber used as a stabilizer is granular.
Lignin fiber is an organic fiber obtained through chemical processing of natural wood, appearing as fluffy, white or light gray in color. It is processed through筛选, splitting, high-temperature treatment, bleaching, chemical treatment, neutralization, and sieving into fibers of various lengths and thicknesses to meet the needs of different application materials. Due to its processing temperature exceeding 250°C, it is chemically very stable under normal conditions, resistant to corrosion by common solvents, acids, and alkalis. It boasts excellent qualities such as being non-toxic, odorless, pollution-free, and non-radioactive, without affecting the environment or posing harm to humans, qualifying it as a green and environmentally friendly product—a feature not shared by other mineral fiber types. The microscopic structure of the fiber is banded and wavy, uneven, porous, with flat intersections, offering good tenacity, dispersibility, and chemical stability. It has strong water absorption and exceptional thickening and crack resistance properties.
