The passive floating caliper brake EMB-STOP S-P-xx-F is an electric disc brake.

Electric disc brake EMB-STOP S-P-xx-F covers medium braking torque. Originally developed for small wind turbines, it is still in use today. Due to its response time of 550 ms, the brake is suitable for applications that require protection of the transmission system from excessive torque peaks and where response time is not critical.
