    I. Project Background

    Hohhot City is currently developing a modern urban leisure and tourism agricultural layout, establishing a "One Core, Five Rings, and Four Belts" modern urban leisure and tourism agricultural pattern. With the focus on key facility agriculture in the suburbs, a comprehensive urban modern leisure and tourism agricultural industry core circle is formed within a 20-kilometer radius of the central city area. Centred on the county towns of five agricultural banners, a modern agricultural five-ring is created with a 10-kilometer radius, primarily serving the residents' living and consumption needs. Relying on the capital's natural resources such as mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, and grasslands, an industrial belt of modern agriculture along the Great青山 is developed. Similarly, an industrial belt along the Yellow River is established. Modern agricultural belts along lakes such as Hashu Lake in Tuzuo Banner, Halajin Reservoir in Xincheng District, Shizui Reservoir in Helin County, Dangyang Bridge Reservoir in Qingshuihe County, and Nannhu in Tuo County are also formed. Moreover, modern agricultural belts along roads such as the Hohhot-Baotou, Hohhot-Zhungeer, and Hohhot-Shuozhou expressways, National Highways 110 and 209, and provincial roads 102, 103, and 104, as well as ecological roads, Tumuer River Road, and Jinsheng Road, are also established. This creates an overall development pattern of urban modern agriculture that is encircling the center, interconnected, and radiating in a strip-like manner.

     


    Project Overview

    In recent years, Hohhot has continuously adjusted and optimized its agricultural industrial structure, focusing on the layout of facility fruit and flower industries. Based on leisure and sightseeing picking, it has prioritized the construction of facility fruit and vegetable planting bases in Xincheng District, Saihan District, Tuozi Banner, Tuoxian County, and Helin County, mainly for strawberries, grapes, and melons. Leveraging the cool climate conditions in Wuchuan County, efforts are being made to create a cold strawberry seedling, production, and processing base. To meet the high-quality living needs of the general public, relying on existing pot plant flower planting parks and fresh flower planting bases, the city is focusing on developing a number of facility flower planting bases in Xincheng District, Saihan District, Yutong District, and Helin County.

     

    Thus, the Shengxin Garden Strawberry Harvesting Park in Hohhot was established. The park was equipped with an intelligent agricultural Internet of Things greenhouse by Shijiazhuang Shengqi Technology, promoting its modernization.

     

    This project is located within the Shengxin Yuan Strawberry Harvesting Garden in Hohhot. It involves the Shijiazhuang Shengqi Technology Co., Ltd. assisting the garden in constructing an intelligent greenhouse system based on agricultural Internet of Things (IoT). The intelligent greenhouse environmental monitoring system, utilizing IoT and big data information system technology, collects data on air temperature and humidity, carbon dioxide content in the air, and light intensity through various sensing devices. The data is then transmitted to the control center via Ethernet, 4G, and Wi-Fi network signals. The control center compares the real-time data against pre-set parameters based on human experience and determines if it meets the requirements. Users can view the status of the greenhouse and remotely control it through a mobile app or computer.

    The core of our intelligent greenhouse environmental control system is our company's developed intelligent terminal cabinet, paired with our proprietary intelligent environmental control system software. It allows for control of the entire greenhouse's modules, such as windproof blankets, through the LCD touch screen on the cabinet, while also monitoring data within the greenhouse, including soil temperature and humidity, pH level, air temperature and humidity, and light intensity. Both software and hardware customization can be done based on the user's actual needs.

     



     



    The Miaoqing Monitoring System offers a clear and intuitive real-time view of crop growth and pest and disease conditions in planting areas, as well as timely surveillance and recording of sudden abnormal events, facilitating efficient command and dispatch.

     



    The Indoor Agricultural Meteorological Data Collection System is a comprehensive, compact, and automated agricultural meteorological station designed for real-time monitoring of agricultural ecological environments, environmental monitoring related to agricultural production activities, and farmland meteorological environment regulation. It continuously monitors and collects information on agricultural meteorological factors closely related to vegetation and crop growth, such as soil, water vapor, light, and heat. It can comprehensively monitor the growth status of crops and the moisture condition of farmland soil, allowing for timely understanding of the growth situation within greenhouses. In case these factors limit growth within the greenhouse, users can quickly respond and implement emergency preventive measures. This system thus provides scientific data and decision-making support for agricultural production, agricultural environmental research, crop improvement, crop phenological monitoring, and pest and disease control, among other production management tasks. It is widely applicable in agricultural production, scientific research, and standard measurements.

     


    A key feature advantage of an Internet of Things (IoT) smart greenhouse system:

    We have designed an interface-friendly environmental monitoring and management system using a visual programming language, enabling remote monitoring of the monitored environment.

    The software platform allows for customizable upper and lower limit settings, with alarm notifications via SMS and other means. It offers remote real-time monitoring of sensor data.

    Data management features support database management, as well as photo-taking, data querying, exporting, printing statistical analysis, and chart analysis.

    Online monitoring of various environmental factor parameters in a list format, with display options including curve trend charts and column trend displays.

    Quickly locate and download the required data by searching by date, and export it in Excel format.

    Display the editing device interface, where you can set the data collection interval and enable geographic settings, including location coordinates. Click the save button to successfully complete the process.

    To add a location using GPS, locate the desired place on the map, and then copy and paste its coordinates.

    Alert Settings: Activate alert settings and receive notifications via SMS by adding your mobile number for alerts on specific weather conditions.

    Sensor Settings: Click the Edit button to set the warning values for each sensor according to actual conditions.

    With the addition of an intelligent greenhouse control system, not only can the breeding process be significantly accelerated, but also a shift from 'experience-based breeding' to 'precision breeding' can be achieved.
