Common Surface Finishing Methods for Natural Stone

Polished:

The surface is extremely smooth, highly polished, with a mirror-like finish and high luster. Granite, marble, and limestone are typically used for polishing areas.

The product requires regular care and different maintenance to maintain its luster.

Apolite (Honed):

The surface is smooth, yet slightly polished to produce diffused reflection, matte finish, without any glossy effect, and no light pollution.

Rough-Rubbing

Surface simple polishing, the machine-cut lines formed during the cutting process of the rough board can be ground out, giving a feeling of a rough matte finish.

Machine-Cut:

Directly cut to shape by disk saws, sand saws, or bridge cutting machines, etc., resulting in a relatively rough surface with noticeable machine-cut patterns.

The surface is more uneven than lychee processing, resembling the texture of a pineapple peel.
