Routine inspections and maintenance of dredging machinery are crucial foundation tasks in equipment management, especially for the hydraulic systems and equipment on engineering vessels. Most of these are exposed to the deck, often enduring wind, sun, rain, and the influence of marine climate and natural conditions. Any issues are bound to affect the normal production and safe operation of the vessel.

During operation, it is essential to regularly check and tighten all screws, as well as to frequently lubricate and maintain the equipment. This includes the bucket screws and chain pins, the four corners of the water wheel, and the bolts connecting to the 500-speed reducer. For the underwater four corners wheel, ensure regular application of grease and lubricant. During flood season or during downtime, tie the boat securely to prevent it from being swept away or incurring unnecessary losses.

During dredger maintenance, the machinery must be securely stopped before proceeding. It is essential to regularly check the tightness of chain bolts, pins, and fasteners at all fixed points of the transmission system.
