Building Requirements for Food Purification Plant
★ Buildings within the factory should be sturdy and durable, easy to maintain and clean, and equipped with structures to prevent contamination of food, food contact surfaces, and packaging materials (such as from harmful animals entering, nesting, and breeding).
To prevent cross-contamination, separate personnel and material transport corridors should be established. Each corridor should be equipped with air curtains (also known as wind curtains), bi-directional spring doors, and electronic insect (mosquito) eliminators, etc., for pest control.
★ All gaps around the pipelines, doors, windows, and ventilation channels leading to the exterior must be completely filled, and protective screens should be installed on all windows, ventilation openings, and fan openings.
★ The production plant's height should meet the requirements of the process, hygiene, as well as the installation, maintenance, and care of equipment.

Food purification workshop floor and drainage
The ground should be paved with non-toxic, waterproof, non-absorbent, anti-slip, crack-free building materials that are easy to clean and disinfect (such as acid-resistant bricks, terrazzo, concrete, etc.), and the ground should have an appropriate slope (preferably 1.0~1.5%).
Food purification factory roof and ceiling
Roof and ceiling should be coated or decorated with light-colored materials that are non-absorbent, smooth, non-toxic, anti-mold, corrosion-resistant, and easy to clean, which can also help reduce condensation and dripping in the structure.
★ There should be no steam, water, or electrical auxiliary pipelines above the food and food-contact surfaces to prevent dust or condensation from falling in.
Food purification workshop walls and doors and windows
The walls of the production workshop should be constructed from non-toxic, water-resistant, waterproof, anti-mold, smooth, and easy-to-clean light-colored materials, extending up to the ceiling.
★ All door and window structures should be equipped with rust-proof, moisture-proof, and easy-to-clean sealed frames.
Food processing plant lighting and illumination facilities
★ The workshop should have sufficient natural lighting or artificial lighting. The mixed illuminance of the work surface in the processing area should not be less than 300 lx, and for the blending and filling workshops, it should not be less than 800 lx.
Food Processing Cleanroom Air Treatment and Purification Equipment
★ The workshop must be equipped with effective ventilation systems, with air flow from clean areas to non-clean areas. When mechanical ventilation is used, the air change rate should be greater than 3 times per hour.
The clean room temperature should be maintained between 15~27°C, with humidity kept below 50%.
★ Cleanroom entrances should be equipped with separate facilities for personnel and material purification.
