Construction Process:

1. Basic Treatment for Old Walls

Primarily refers to the removal of existing wall decoration. Generally includes the scraping of latex paint and joint compound, the removal of wooden trim, and the dismantling of other decorative items. If the wall has only been decorated for one to two years, the water-resistant joint compound on the wall may not need to be completely removed. After sanding and brushing the wall with steel wool, it can be repainted with latex paint.

2. Basic Steps for Renovating Old Walls

Step 1: Clean the Wall

Before renovating old walls, the first step is to treat the wall base. Walls with severe flaking should be completely removed, and then coated with white cement. For walls previously painted and overly smooth, sanding is required after removal to remove loose, adherent skin, facilitating the bonding of new paint with the wall.

Step 2: Apply Primer

The role of wall primer is to seal the base material, resist alkali and moisture, protect the topcoat, and enhance the texture and coverage of the topcoat. For renovating old houses, it is essential to apply wall primer. If you apply the topcoat directly, over time, the wall may develop bubbles and mold, and it can also fade easily when exposed to sunlight for extended periods.

Three Steps: Large-Scale Repairs

Repairs to walls that have been painted with topcoat can be麻烦, prone to color discrepancies, and the materials used may vary in age and quality, making it uncertain if the desired outcome can be achieved. Therefore, it's best to repair the entire wall or opt for large-scale repairs whenever possible to minimize color variations.

Four Steps: Color Difference Prevention

Please follow the instructions on the paint bucket for mixing and applying the paint, and ensure accurate measurement. Prepare an adequate amount in one go to maintain consistent wall color and avoid discrepancies in repainted areas.
