General Sensor & Test Technologies Introduces New Color Flaw Detector. This product offers a flexible platform for inspectors, adaptable to their needs. The Phasor series integrates traditional and phase matrix ultrasonic technology into three upgraded models: PhasorCV, Phasor16/16Weld, and PhasorXS. This tiered platform allows inspectors to choose the model that best suits their specific application needs, such as oil and gas, power generation, aviation, or transportation.

PhasorXS is the first product in the Phasor series, a portable ultrasonic phased array flaw detector that offers high-resolution and quality flaw detection rates. It also provides timed or TOPView software-based corrosion detection capabilities. The Phasor16/16Weld is an intermediate flaw detection solution, offering both phased array and traditional product features within a portable ultrasonic flaw detector. It provides full-color image scanning and can save scans as jpg files for remote analysis and archiving. The PhasorCV differs from the above, being a conventional single-channel magnetic particle flaw detector. Users can base their detection on the PhaseXS and benefit from additional product interface functionalities.

Each solution within the Phasor platform is compatible with all major detection standards and applicable across a range from simple echo amplitude comparisons to complex DGS evaluations. The Phasor product is currently primarily used for corrosion monitoring and for detecting and sizing product defects.
