After the diesel generator starts at low temperatures, the rise in oil pressure requires a process. During this period, the moving parts of the diesel generator do not receive sufficient lubrication. Rapidly increasing the speed can lead to accelerated wear on bearings, cylinder liners, and other lubricated components. Additionally, directly applying load can cause damage to the combustion chamber and other parts.

Do not mix oils of different brands.

Different brands of engine oil have varying viscosity indexes, with differences in kinematic viscosity, water content, and operating environments. Therefore, it is not permitted to mix CA-grade oil with CC-grade oil or to mix non-turbocharged oil.

Do not open the water tank pressure cap during heavy load operation of diesel generators.

Due to the high water temperatures often experienced by diesel engines under heavy loads, there is a risk of steam injuries.

④ Diesel used in diesel generators must be purified.

If too much mechanical impurity is mixed with diesel, it will exacerbate the wear of the internal precision components in the fuel injection pump and injector, and in severe cases, it can cause sticking in various moving parts. This can easily lead to uneven fuel supply to the cylinders of the high-pressure fuel pump, a decrease in power, and an increase in diesel consumption.

Do not allow the diesel generator to idle for extended periods after startup.

After starting the diesel engine, if it idles for an extended period, it can lead to incomplete combustion of diesel injected into the combustion chamber, resulting in excessive carbon accumulation and potential blockage of the injector internal components. It may also cause gasketing and sticking inside the valve seats and piston rings. The idle running time of a diesel generator should generally not exceed 8 minutes.

Newly purchased or heavily overhauled diesel generators require a certain磨合 period. For automotive diesel engines, this磨合 period typically ranges around 2500 km, while for diesel generator sets, it usually takes about 70 hours.

Always check the quality and quantity of the engine oil before starting a diesel generator.

Ensure that engine oil is added in accordance with technical specifications. Generally, before a diesel engine starts, the oil level should be at the static full mark on the oil dipstick, and during operation, it should be at the dynamic full mark. If it does not meet the requirements, it should be replenished promptly.
