    Proper use of diesel generators can extend their lifespan. Here are 10 tips to keep in mind:

    One: Starting a diesel engine without cooling water or after boiling water activation can cause critical components like cylinder liners and cylinder heads to crack or deform due to sudden cooling. Pouring boiling water, which is 100 degrees hotter, into the cold engine can crack the cylinder head and engine block. It is recommended to add water only when the water temperature drops to 60-70 degrees.

    Two, supplying fuel irregularly; the diesel engine should not be supplied with fuel after the throttle handle is placed in the "working" position during startup. Instead, the throttle handle should be set to the fuel supply position before starting. The disadvantages of not following this rule include: wasteful fuel consumption, excess diesel washing the cylinder walls, which leads to increased wear on the piston, piston rings, and cylinder liners due to poor lubrication; the remaining oil flowing into the sump can concentrate the engine oil, reducing its lubricating effectiveness; and an incomplete combustion of excessive diesel in the cylinder can lead to carbon buildup.

    Three, starting the diesel engine with a tug; When starting the tug with the engine cold and the engine oil thin, it will exacerbate the lubrication and fuel between the moving parts, making it difficult for the diesel engine to start.

    In cold weather conditions, failing to replace the lubricating oil and fuel on time can make it difficult for diesel engines to start, especially if low-viscosity lubricants and fuels are not promptly replaced.

    To prevent a fire outbreak, avoid using open flames to ignite and start the engine. Instead, employ a slow flame or coal fire to heat the engine's oil sump at a safe distance. Simultaneously, gently rotate the oil shaft to ensure even heating of the engine oil, lubricating all parts. Igniting the intake manifold can cause ash and hard debris from the combustion to be吸入 the cylinder, leading to incomplete closure of the intake and exhaust valves and accelerating cylinder wear.

    Six, the heating elements of the electric glow plug and flame preheater are both made of electric heating wire, which consume a significant amount of electricity and generate a high heat output. Their use can potentially damage the battery due to rapid discharge, and can also burn out the heating wire. Therefore, the electric glow plug should not be used continuously for more than one minute at a time, and the flame preheater should be controlled to a continuous use of no more than 20 seconds.

    Seven, directly adding engine oil to the cylinder can help with sealing, boosting pressure, and increasing temperature, which facilitates cold-starting of diesel engines. However, the oil does not completely extinguish, leading to carbon accumulation and weakening the elasticity of the piston rings, thereby reducing the cylinder's sealing function. Moreover, it accelerates the wear of the cylinder liners, causing a decrease in the power output of the diesel engine, making starting more difficult. Therefore, it is not advisable to directly add engine oil to the cylinder.

    Eight, directly injecting gasoline into the intake manifold can cause the fuel to ignite at a lower temperature than diesel, leading to premature extinction. Consequently, this direct method can result in a rough engine operation and intense knocking, which in severe cases may even cause the engine to reverse.

    The engine starter on continuous diesel engines operates under low voltage and high current conditions, which can damage the battery. Continuous operation should not exceed 5 seconds; if a single start fails, wait 15 seconds before attempting to start again.

    The newly launched high-speed diesel engine, when started, experiences low lubricating oil temperature and poor fluidity. Immediate high-speed operation can lead to rapid wear of the moving parts due to insufficient lubrication, and in severe cases, it may cause the engine to seize.
