Continuous Distillation Tower Main Application

       Due to the frequent startups and shutdowns of batch distillation, equipment utilization is low, operation is inconvenient, and it's difficult to achieve high purity products. Therefore, batch distillation is typically only used when continuous distillation is not feasible. In industry, most processes employ continuous distillation. Through scientific calculations, continuous distillation towers ensure stable operation, producing high purity products with high yields, low energy consumption, and compact equipment design.

 

       Component Configuration and Working Principle

       The liquid is pumped into the high tank (or vacuum-assisted) and measured by a rotameter, then enters the preheater to heat the liquid to its boiling point before entering the tower. At the tower bottom, the liquid is heated by a reboiler, and the vapor at the top is directly fed into the full condenser. The condensate passes through a pressure regulator, with part of it being recycled and the other part flowing through a specific gravity meter to determine concentration, before being cooled in the cooler to ambient temperature and then transferred to the receiving tank.
