A quay crane is a common lifting equipment used for handling cargo, both unitized and loose, at ports, docks, warehouses, stacks, or within industrial areas, also known as a quay crane. The equipment is primarily composed of a power unit and a support structure. We have previously discussed the structure of the power unit, so now let's introduce the structure of the support part.
The crane boom is composed of a main column consisting of screw threads, nut couplings, and upright rods, along with a rotating arm. The rotating arm can rotate 360 degrees on the main column. A limit switch is installed at the end of the arm to prevent overhoisting accidents due to operational errors or malfunctioning buttons. The operation button starter can reverse the motor's direction, allowing the wire rope to be wound or released, and then lifted or lowered through the pulley section of the bracket to complete the lifting operation.
