One approach is to apply a coat of paint to the metal body of the port crane to effectively prevent rust. However, it's important to note that if there are any damaged areas on the crane's body, the first step is to clean the dirt from the surface of the damage before proceeding to apply rust-proof or decorative paint coatings. Only then can you effectively isolate the metal surface from external air, significantly reducing the likelihood of rust, even in humid conditions like rain or snow.
In addition, there's a simple yet highly effective method: we can apply a layer of diesel to the flexible moving parts of the harbor cranes. As the diesel permeates into the relevant areas of the harbor crane, it forms an oil film on the metal surface. Due to the low pour point of diesel, this oil film effectively prevents rust.
