Safety Precautions for Operation of Shot Blasting Machines

The shot blasting machine has been early used for the removal of sand and oxidation scales from castings and forgings. It primarily utilizes the high-speed rotation of the impeller to propel shot sand at high speed, impacting the surface of the parts to achieve the required surface treatment.

1Operators strictly adhere to the staffing and post-training before operating the shot blasting machine, familiarizing themselves with its performance and characteristics.

2Proficient in all operational procedures, usage, maintenance, and care instructions detailed in the shot blast machine's manual.

3Operators must verify that all switches on the control panel (interface) are in the required positions (including all power switches) before turning on the equipment to prevent erroneous operations, damage to electrical and mechanical equipment, and equipment accidents.

4Non-authorized operators are prohibited from randomly manipulating or touching the electrical switch control area, and must not approach the machine's work area to prevent accidental incidents.

5Operators must wear proper protective gear, including work suits and eyewear.

6Operators must pay special attention to the panel instruments when starting up. Only when all instruments reach normal values can the small crane (conveyor) be operated to enter the working program. If any instrument indicates a significant error (abnormal), shut down immediately. Restart only after checking and rectifying the equipment fault.

7While the equipment is in operation, operators must conduct regular inspections of the equipment to check for any abnormal noises and overheating in various parts. In the event of a severe equipment failure during operation, immediately press the "Emergency Stop" button to shut down for repairs and coordinate with professionals to rectify the equipment issues.

8Operators must conduct daily and weekly maintenance on the equipment according to the "Equipment Management" section, including lubrication. Clean the dust and debris in the dust collector on a weekly basis to prevent affecting the dust removal quality and ensure the equipment's integrity.

9Operators must maintain civil production and ensure safe operations while strictly adhering to the handover and shift change procedures.

10Upon completion of work, immediately disconnect the power switch of this machine to prevent it from being in operation. Also, ensure the work area is cleaned up.
