Shot Blasting Machine / Shot Blasting Cleaning Machine

A shot blasting machine is a casting equipment that uses high-speed pellets ejected by a shot blaster to clean or strengthen the surface of castings. It can simultaneously perform sand removal, core removal, and cleaning on castings. In some regions, it is also colloquially referred to as a sanding machine or sandblasting machine.

The shot blasting machine is a treatment technique that involves using a blast gun to rapidly propel steel grit or balls to impact the surface of a material object. Compared to other surface treatment methods, it is faster and more effective, and can be applied to partially retained or stamping processes.

The shot blasting machine can also be used to remove burrs, diaphragms, and rust, which may affect the integrity, appearance, or definition of a part. It can also remove surface contaminants from a part's coating surface, providing a profile for increased coating adhesion, thereby reinforcing the workpiece.

The shot blasting machine differs from the sandblasting machine in that it is used to decrease the fatigue life of parts, increase different surface stresses, enhance the strength of components, or prevent micro-movement.
