Operation Principle:

The positive displacement pump operates by utilizing the interlocking of the main and driven gears to change the working volume for the conveyance of melt. The working volume is composed of the pump body, gear teeth slots, and bearing sleeves with side plate functions. As the gears rotate, the melt enters the suction cavity between the gear teeth slots. With the rotation, the melt is brought into the discharge cavity from both sides. The gears re-engage, forcing the melt in the gear slots out of the discharge cavity and pressurizing it into the outlet pipeline. The bearings cannot use conventional lubricating oils to avoid contaminating the melt; instead, self-lubrication with the melt is typically employed.
