Silicone rubber long-lasting anti-fouling flash coating, also known as room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone or PRTV anti-fouling flash coating, is a specialized coating used for anti-fouling flash work on insulators in power systems or external insulation of electrical equipment. Among them, PRTV anti-fouling flash coating, also referred to as long-lasting anti-fouling flash coating, boasts superior performance indicators compared to RTV anti-fouling flash coating, including hydrophobicity, electrical properties, and physical mechanical properties.

The main characteristics of the long-lasting anti-fouling and anti-arc coating made of silicone rubber include:

1. Excellent hydrophobicity and rapid, even, and enduring hydrophobic migration, even under adverse weather conditions (rain, fog, dew, drizzle), the coating surface will not form a continuous water film.

Silicone rubber long-lasting anti-fouling coating is mainly used on transmission and transformation equipment of voltage levels below 750KV, such as suspended insulators (porcelain and glass),支柱绝缘子, switches, circuit breakers, lightning arresters, transformers, coupling capacitors, wall penetration sleeves, and various porcelain components on indoor substation equipment in humid areas.

During construction, avoid working in conditions of fog, condensation, precipitation, snowfall, and other humid weather, as well as in wind-blown sand conditions. The construction temperature should be maintained above -20℃. Before construction, the insulator surface should be cleaned thoroughly and kept dry. For greasy substances that affect the adhesion of paint, use an appropriate cleaning agent or cleaning procedure. The recoating of failed coatings should be determined based on the adhesion of the coating. Ensure that the recoated layer is even, smooth, without accumulation, dripping, bubbles, threads, defects, or missed spots.
