Silicone rubber long-lasting anti-fouling coating, also known as room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone or PRTV anti-fouling coating, is a specialized coating used for anti-fouling work on insulators in electrical systems or external insulation of electrical equipment. Among them, PRTV anti-fouling coating, also referred to as long-lasting anti-fouling coating, boasts superior performance indicators compared to RTV anti-fouling coating, including hydrophobicity, electrical properties, and physical mechanical properties.
The main characteristics of the long-lasting antifouling and anti-fogging silicone rubber coating include:
1. Excellent hydrophobicity and rapid, even, and durable hydrophobic migration, even under adverse weather conditions (rain, fog, dew, drizzle), the coating surface will not form a continuous water film.
2. High anti-fouling flashover voltage, arc resistance, leakage tracking resistance, excellent electrical insulation properties.

Silicone rubber long-lasting anti-fouling coating is mainly suitable for transmission and transformation equipment of voltage levels below 750KV, such as suspended insulators (porcelain and glass),支柱绝缘子, switches, knife switches, lightning arresters, transformers, couplings capacitors, wall penetration sleeves, etc., as well as various porcelain components on indoor substation equipment in humid areas.
During construction, avoid operations under foggy, dewy, rainy, or snowy weather conditions, as well as dust storms. The construction temperature should be maintained above -20°C. Before construction, the insulator surface should be cleaned and kept dry. For greasy substances that affect the adhesion of paint, use an appropriate cleaning agent or procedure. The recoating of failed coatings should be determined based on the adhesion of the coating. Ensure the coating is even, smooth, without lumps, drips, bubbles, threads, defects, or missed spots during recoating.
