Principle
Tangential flow sedimentation is a water purification method that involves installing inclined pipes and plates at a 60-degree angle above the sludge suspension layer. This allows suspended particles, solid matter, or flocs formed after adding coagulants to the raw water to accumulate into a thin mud layer at the bottom side of the inclined pipes and plates. They then slide back to the sludge suspension layer under the force of gravity, eventually settling into the sludge collection basin. The sludge is discharged through a sludge drainage pipe for separate treatment or comprehensive utilization. The clear liquid gradually rises to the collection pipe and is discharged, either directly or reused.
Application
