Self-limiting electric heating tape, also known as self-regulating or self-controlled electric heating tape, autonomously adjusts the local heating power of the tape based on temperature changes under normal operating conditions. As shown in the figure, after the busbar applies working voltage, conductive particles in the semiconductor core form a current path between the busbars. As the temperature rises, the semiconductor core expands, reducing the current path and lowering power; conversely, power increases. The conductive carbon particles in the semiconductor core are extremely small, and this regulating mechanism exists at every complete structure of the self-limiting temperature electric heating tape. Therefore, in situations where temperature control is not required, the self-limiting temperature electric heating tape can be used without a temperature controller; any cutting and connection within its usage length will not affect its heating structure, and it can be overlapped without causing overheating damage to the heating structure.
