Common Causes of High Water Hardness in Softening Water Equipment Output

1. The O-ring seal at the multi-way valve's central tube has been damaged.

The fault is prone to occur during the initial debugging of newly installed soft water equipment, where the water output hardness exceeds the allowable limit. The cause is either the lack of chamfering on the upper part of the central tube or the absence of lubricant application, which leads to the damage of the O-ring seal at the multi-way valve's central tube insertion point. This results in hard water leakage and excessive water hardness output. Solution: Replace the O-ring and apply lubricant during installation.

2. Softening resin aging failure

The issue typically arises after two years of use in the softening water equipment, when the softening resin loses its activity. While it cannot be restored, the solution is to replace the resin.

3. Inability to absorb salt or short absorption time

The brine system of the softening water equipment is experiencing issues, or the incoming water pressure is too low (for equipment using a jet injector). This fault can be resolved by checking if the jet injector is clogged or if the brine pump is malfunctioning, and by increasing the incoming water pressure (suitable pressure range: 0.2-0.4 Mpa).
