Softening Water Principle: When the raw water contains high levels of calcium and magnesium ions, ion exchange resins (which are polymers with corresponding functional genes, and sodium ion exchange resins contain a large amount of sodium ions) can release sodium ions, which bind with the calcium and magnesium ions, thereby reducing the content of these ions in the water, lowering its hardness, and converting hard water into soft water. The hardness of water is mainly composed of cations: calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) ions. As the hard water passes through the resin layer of the exchange unit, the calcium and magnesium ions in the water are adsorbed by the resin while sodium ions are released, resulting in the softened water exiting the exchange unit. Once the resin adsorbs calcium and magnesium ions to a certain saturation point, the hardness of the outflowing water increases. At this point, the water softener will automatically regenerate the exhausted resin according to a predetermined program, using a high-concentration sodium chloride solution (brine) to pass through the resin, restoring the exhausted resin to sodium-type resin. Equipment Models: 0.5 ton/hour - 1000 ton/hour. Equipment Selection Considerations: Consider the peak water usage for production, the hardness of the raw water, and whether the equipment operates for more than 8 hours a day. Equipment Purchase Considerations: Resin brand, exchange capacity, regeneration control method, and whether equipment over 30 tons has the brine immersion function.
