Desalination methods include sea water freezing, electrodialysis, distillation, reverse osmosis, and ammonium bicarbonate ion exchange. Currently, the reverse osmosis membrane method and distillation are the mainstream in the market.


Seawater reverse osmosis membranes feature high desalination rates, corrosion resistance, high-pressure resistance, and anti-fouling properties. After treatment with reverse osmosis membranes, the salt content of seawater is significantly reduced, with TDS levels dropping from about 36,000 mg/L to around 200 mg/L. The quality of the treated water is even superior to tap water, making it suitable for industrial, commercial, residential, and maritime applications.
