For a long time, there have been significant issues with the calibration accuracy of the rotating drop surface tension gauges, primarily due to the incorrect calibration tools used and the principles of the rotating drop surface tension testing imaging. As is widely known, the optical imaging principle of the rotating drop surface tension gauge determines that during the imaging process, the image exhibits different refractive indices in the vertical and horizontal directions. Currently, the calibration tools used by the rotating drop surface tension gauge are mainly cylindrical or calibration threads.

This is due not only to the inherent algorithmic limitations of the rotating drop interfacial tension meter but also to deficiencies in the calibration tools and methods.
