The Use of Cast Iron Platforms

The cast iron platform is suitable for various inspection tasks, including the use of foundation planes and flat surfaces for measurement, square boxes, V-shaped supports (cast iron), curved plates, right-angle rulers, and cylindrical angle rulers. The cast iron inspection platform is used for machine tools, machinery, and inspection measurements, checking the dimensions, precision, flatness, parallelism, planarity, perpendicularity, and positional deviation of parts, as well as marking lines. After the cast iron inspection platform has been treated for stability and demagnetized, it proceeds to machining, which includes rough and fine planing. Fine planing is a process for achieving 3rd-grade precision and surface roughness on the cast iron inspection platform. For cast iron inspection platforms with precision above grade 2, manual scraping and polishing are required. It is important to avoid the influence of heat sources and the corrosion from acidic or alkaline substances on the qualified cast iron inspection platforms. These platforms should be placed in a constant temperature environment of 20℃ ± 5℃.

Cast iron plates require installation and debugging before use. Clean the working surface of the plate thoroughly and use it only after confirming there are no issues. During use, avoid excessive collisions between the workpiece and the working surface of the plate to prevent damage. The weight of the workpiece must not exceed the rated load of the plate; otherwise, it may reduce work quality and potentially damage the plate's structure, leading to deformation and rendering it unusable. During operation, avoid excessive local wear, scratches, and impacts that could affect the flatness accuracy and service life of the plate. Under normal conditions, the service life of the cast iron inspection plate should be indefinite. After use, it should be cleaned and properly rust-proofed to maintain its service life.
