Laser cutting involves focusing a high-power density laser beam onto a workpiece, causing the material to rapidly melt, vaporize, ablate, or reach its ignition point. Simultaneously, a high-speed gas stream co-axial with the laser beam is used to blow away the molten material, thereby cutting the workpiece. Laser cutting is one type of thermal cutting method.
Metal cutting machines are equipment that utilizes laser technology for cutting. Many metal processing factories now use laser cutting machines to cut metal. Lasers are highly powerful beams of light that can achieve rapid cutting in extremely short periods of time. Metal cutting machines are primarily used for the quick cutting of various metal materials, including carbon steel, silicon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, titanium alloy, galvanized steel, pickled steel, aluminum-zinc coated steel, and copper.
