    1. The work surface: The flatness of the slope is crucial for the success of grass protection using geosynthetic cells. Uneven slopes can lead to stress concentration when laying geosynthetic cells, causing cracks in the welding points and resulting in cell collapse. Therefore, it is necessary to level the slope to meet design requirements and to manually adjust the slope, removing loose stones and dangerous rocks.

    2. The slope of the paved compartments should be equipped with a main drainage system, with a distance of 4 meters between adjacent ditches. The drainage ditches should be connected to the roadside ditches, allowing surface water to flow into the drainage channels along the roadside, thus preventing surface water accumulation and erosion of the compartment slope protection.

    3. Flatten the slope surface, removing debris that hinders the laying of the compartments, ensuring the slope remains level and sturdy. Optionally, sprinkle a layer of quality soil beforehand to promote plant growth.

    4. The grid room should be laid from top to bottom in the direction of the main load-bearing force, ensuring that the grid material is perpendicular to the roadbed. Laying horizontally is not permitted.

    5. Fully extend the compartment components and secure a hook-shaped rivet in each compartment at the top, with the rivet length being twice the height of the compartment plus 30 cm, or use U-shaped rebar anchoring to ensure overall structural integrity.

    6. After opening and clamping the grid, fill the space with high-quality soil suitable for planting sod or seeds from top to bottom. Ideally, the fill should be 1.2 times the height of the grid, and it should be firmly compacted. Plant vegetation promptly.

    7. When used for roadside slopes, the drainage ditches should be connected to the roadside water retaining ditches to facilitate the drainage of surface water, without eroding the slope protection. For roadside slopes, a water-retaining ditch should be established at the top of the upper slope to allow the water from the higher part of the upper slope to flow into the drainage ditches, preventing direct runoff from eroding the slope protection. The upper slope should preferably use taller geotextile cells.

    Upon completion of construction, thorough re-inspection should be conducted. Any tensioning that is insufficient or poorly secured top-bolt piles should be reworked immediately until the sod or seeds are fully rooted.
