Cold Rolled Sheet

Cold Rolled Sheet, also known as cold rolled sheet, is a product produced by rolling hot-rolled coils below the recrystallization temperature at room temperature. It is widely used in the manufacturing of automobiles, electrical products, and more. Cold rolling refers to the rolling process conducted below the recrystallization temperature, but is generally understood as rolling materials at room temperature.

During the production process, due to the absence of heating, there are no defects such as scale and iron oxide skin commonly found in hot rolling, resulting in excellent surface quality and high luster. Moreover, cold rolled products offer high dimensional accuracy, and their properties and structure can meet specific application requirements, such as electromagnetic properties and deep drawing capabilities.

Galvanized steel strip products are primarily used in industries such as construction, light industry, automotive, agriculture, animal husbandry, and fishery, as well as commerce. In the construction sector, they are mainly used to produce corrosion-resistant industrial and residential roofing panels, roof gratings, etc. The light industry utilizes them to manufacture home appliance casings, residential chimneys, kitchenware, etc. The automotive industry mainly employs them for the production of corrosion-resistant car parts. In agriculture, animal husbandry, and fishery, they are primarily used for grain storage and transportation, as well as for freezing equipment for meat and aquatic products. In commerce, they are mainly used for material storage and packaging tools.

Cold-rolled thin steel sheet, also known as cold rolled sheet or simply cold plate, is a short name for the cold-rolled plate of ordinary carbon structural steel. It is sometimes mistakenly written as cold-pressed plate. Cold plate is made by further cold rolling hot-rolled steel strips of ordinary carbon structural steel to achieve sheet thicknesses less than 4mm. Since it is rolled at room temperature, it does not produce iron oxide scale, resulting in a high surface quality and dimensional accuracy. With the addition of annealing treatment, its mechanical and process properties are superior to those of hot-rolled thin steel sheet. In many fields, particularly in the home appliance manufacturing sector, it has gradually replaced hot-rolled thin steel sheet.
