Coated Color Coated Steel Sheet

Coated Sheets, also known as Organic Coated Sheets or Pre-Painted Steel Coils, are made by applying or lamination various organic coatings or plastic films onto the surface of metal coils (cold-rolled steel, galvanized steel, aluminum-coated steel, high-aluminum alloy steel, stainless steel, etc.). As these are coils with the surface coating completed at a metallurgical plant, they can be directly processed into products by users, hence also referred to as Pre-Painted Coils.

Coated steel sheets combine the benefits of both organic polymers and steel plates. They offer the advantages of organic polymers, such as excellent coloring, molding, corrosion resistance, and decorative properties, along with the high strength and ease of processing of steel plates, allowing for easy operations like cutting, bending, deep drawing, and welding. This makes products made from coated steel sheets highly practical, decorative, processable, and durable. There are over 600 types of coated steel sheets, yet there is no unified classification method due to the difficulty in finding a distinguishing standard among the various types, and each manufacturer has its unique equipment and processes, resulting in a wide variety of products. Classification is currently done according to general practices.

1. Categorized by base material, commonly used substrates for organic coated steel plates include cold rolled steel, hot-dipped zinc plated steel, electro-galvanized steel, alloy steel, zinc-aluminum plated steel, electro-galvanized alloy steel, tin-plated steel, chrome-plated steel, and aluminum plates, etc.

2. Organic coated steel sheets are categorized by processing technology and coating methods, including roller coating, spray coating, powder coating, lamination, and printing methods. Depending on the number of coatings, there are single-coat and single-bake, double-coat and double-bake, triple-coat and triple-bake, and quadruple-coat and quadruple-bake processes. By pattern or printing processing, they can be further divided into wood grain, marble, leather grain, cement砂浆, and other coated steel sheets.

3. Categorized by type of paint, usually classified by paints used for organic coatings, including polyvinyl chloride coated steel plates, polyester coated steel plates, silicone polyester coated steel plates, etc.

4. Categorized by coating performance, including high weather-resistant coating panels, high-temperature-resistant coating panels, self-extinguishing coating panels, sterilization coating panels, non-stick snow coating panels, fingerprint-resistant coating panels, and self-lubricating coating panels, among others.

5. Categorized by special coatings and applications, including epoxy zinc-rich coatings, organic coated steel sheets with cold-rolled steel as the base, velvet-coated steel sheets, and some special machine-coated sandwich panels such as wood film panels, core panels, and vibration-resistant panels, etc.
