Heavy-duty steel grating
1. Heavy-duty steel grating introduction:
Heavy-duty steel grating refers to steel grating with a load-bearing flat steel width of more than 65mm and thickness of more than 6mm. The transverse bars typically use flat steel or steel rebar with diameters of 10mm or 12mm.
2. Heavy-duty steel grating applications:
Heavy-duty steel grating is designed and manufactured for applications requiring heavy loads, suitable for airports, highways, industrial platforms, ports and docks, as well as other specialized needs.
3. Heavy-duty steel grating categories:
4. Heavy-duty steel grating can be divided into two types according to the production process: heavy-duty welded steel grating and heavy-duty riveted steel grating.
A. Heavy-duty pressure-welded steel grating refers to grating with steel bars as cross bars, suitable for single-direction loading applications.
B. Heavy-duty pressed steel grating refers to grating with flat steel bars. It is suitable for bidirectional loading but is significantly more expensive than welded steel grating. Generally, it is not recommended for use.
C. Surface shapes can be divided into flat heavy-duty steel grating and toothed heavy-duty steel grating.
Due to cost considerations, we recommend using flat steel grating in general situations, and heavy-duty toothed steel grating for anti-slip applications such as offshore drilling platforms.
Composite steel grating
This product is composed of steel grating with certain cross-bearing capacity and patterned plates with a sealed surface. After hot-dip galvanizing, composite steel grating may experience warping and deformation due to heat, especially for larger sizes, which can be difficult to level. Please note the selection of sizes. The common series for the base plate of composite steel grating is Series 3, but Series 1 or Series 2 can also be used; patterned steel grating typically uses 3mm thick plates, but 4mm, 5mm, or 6mm plates can also be employed. By welding steel mesh to the front or back of the composite steel grating, a reinforced mesh board is created, which can prevent small items from falling out. The use of reinforced mesh boards in grain silos, dining rooms, and warehouses can prevent the entry of mice and other small animals.
Composite Steel Grating Installation Method: Directly weld the steel grating or tread plate to the supporting steel structure, and apply two coats of zinc-rich paint at the welding joints. Use steel grating installation clamps for assembly without damaging the galvanized layer, and it's easy to disassemble. Each set includes one top clamp, one bottom clamp, one M8 round head bolt, and one nut. Stainless steel installation clamps or bolt connection methods can be provided upon request. The installation gap for steel grating is generally 100mm. Ensure the installation is firm and reliable during assembly, and regularly check to prevent the clamps from loosening and falling off. It is recommended to weld or add rubber pads to the steel grating near vibration sources.
Platform steel grating
Platform steel grating is a widely applicable steel grating panel product, mainly used for various platforms in factories, workshops, mines, and ports. It boasts an elegant appearance, easy installation, and is a new generation of building products, perfect for replacement.
Platform specialty steel grating products include:
1. Kick plates (end caps) and patterned board guards can be additionally welded around the steel grating, along with the installation of connecting accessories.
2. Use flat steel strips with different specifications from those on the steel grating, or use angle steel, channel steel, square tubes, etc., for edging.
3. Handles and hinges can be installed on platform steel grating panels that need frequent movement or opening.
4. Generally speaking: The welding standard for the edge of the platform steel grating panels is as follows: Series 1 - weld one out of every five; Series 2 - weld one out of every four; Series 3 - weld one out of every three. The welds are single-sided angular welds not less than 3mm in width, with a length of 20mm.
Stainless Steel Grating
Also known as stainless steel grating panels. There are usually two methods of production: one involves welding together stainless steel flat bars and round bars; the other involves interlocking stainless steel flat bars. They offer excellent corrosion resistance, a clean appearance, and a very ideal decorative effect, though they are generally more expensive.
Stainless Steel Grating Categories:
It can be categorized into flat, toothed, and I-shaped types, with over 200 specifications and varieties (the surface can be protected differently depending on the application environment).
Material: Generally, stainless steel grades 304, 316, 316L are commonly used.
Manufacturing Method:
There are two types: machine press welding and handcrafted. Machine press welding uses a high-pressure resistance welding machine, where a robotic arm automatically places the crossbar across evenly arranged flat steel bars, then welds it into the flat steel using strong welding power and hydraulic pressure, resulting in a high-quality steel grating with strong weld points, excellent stability, and high strength. Handcrafted steel gratings first punch holes in the flat steel, then insert the crossbar and spot weld it, leaving a gap between the crossbar and flat steel. However, each contact point is焊接, achieving an equivalent melting connection between the flat steel and the twisted steel, making the welds more solid and slightly increasing the strength. Yet, the appearance is not as aesthetically pleasing as the machine press welding.
Surface Treatment:
After pickling and passivation, the surface is a matte grayish white.
b. Electrochemical polishing results in a brighter surface with higher luster.
c. After heat treatment and polishing, the finished products undergo electrochemical polishing followed by chrome plating, achieving a mirror-like finish.
Advantages:
Lightweight, high strength, high load-bearing capacity, cost-effective, well-ventilated and illuminated, modern style, aesthetically pleasing, anti-slip, easy to clean, and simple to install.
Application:
Stainless steel grating panels are widely used in power plants, chemical factories, oil refineries, steel mills, machinery manufacturing plants, shipyards, paper mills, cement factories, food processing plants, and bridge engineering, municipal engineering projects, and wastewater treatment facilities where corrosion resistance is critical. The selection of stainless steel grating panels is similar to that of carbon steel grating panels. Due to their unique properties, stainless steel grating panels are extensively applied in various factories both domestically and internationally.
Stainless Steel Grating Cover Plates
Stainless steel channel gratings, also known as stair tread plates, steel stair tread plates, and step plates, are a type of stair tread used for platforms. They are available in two installation methods: welded connection and bolted connection. The welded tread plates can be directly welded to the stair beam.
Overview
Welded fixed tread plates, directly welded to the ladder beam, without the need for additional side plates for the tread. More economical in cost but not easily removable. Tread plates secured with bolts require thicker side plates, with holes pre-drilled for direct bolt installation, allowing for reuse and recycling. Customers can customize according to their specific needs, using suitable steel grating materials to create various sizes to match the corresponding staircase.
Features & Applications
(1) The installation of the step board is extremely simple and does not require complex assembly.
(2) Excellent ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, explosion-proof, and anti-slip properties.
Step plates feature high strength, lightweight structure, and durability.
(4) Extremely easy to maintain and prevents accumulation of dirt.
Tread plates are widely used in platforms and walkways of factories such as power plants and water treatment plants, as well as in municipal and environmental protection projects. They are also commonly found in large venues like theaters, visitor platforms, and parking lots.
Grating panels
Grating panels are steel products formed by crossing flat steel bars at a certain spacing with crossbars, welded together to create a square-grid pattern in the center. They are primarily used for drain covers, steel structure platform panels, and steps for steel ladders. The crossbars are typically made of twisted square steel.
Grating panels are typically made of low-carbon steel Q235, with a hot-dipped galvanized finish to prevent oxidation. Stainless steel can also be used. Steel grating panels offer ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, anti-slip, and explosion-proof properties.
Manufacturing methods of grating panels: There are two types, machine pressed welding and handcrafted. Machine pressed welding utilizes a high-pressure resistance welding machine, where a robotic arm automatically places the crossbars evenly over flat steel strips, then the powerful welding power and hydraulic pressure weld the crossbars into the flat steel, resulting in high-quality grating panels with strong weld points, excellent stability, and strength. Handcrafted grating panels are first punched with holes in the flat steel, then the crossbars are inserted and spot-welded into the holes. There will be gaps between the crossbars and flat steel, and it's impossible to weld every contact point, thus the welding is not as secure, and the strength is somewhat reduced.
Grille plate features:
1. High strength, lightweight structure: The sturdy grid pressure-welded structure ensures high load-bearing capacity and a lightweight structure.
2. Easy for hoisting and other features.
3. Aesthetically pleasing and durable: Hot-dip galvanized surface treatment provides excellent corrosion resistance.
4. Surface luster is attractive.
5. Excellent ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, explosion-proof, and anti-slip properties; resistant to accumulation of dirt.
Grille panel applications: Widely used in various industries such as petrochemicals, municipal engineering, port engineering, machinery industry, power plants, waterworks, iron and steel industry, manufacturing, food processing, and more.
