Product Usage

The Concrete Resistivity Meter, also known as a Potential Tester (Corrosion Analyzer), measures the corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete, which is an electrochemical process. It generates currents that dissociate the metal. The lower the resistivity, the more susceptible the concrete is to corrosion. Therefore, measuring the resistivity of concrete can evaluate its corrosion resistance and assess the extent of existing reinforcement corrosion.
