Instrument Overview

Operating Principle

This instrument is a high-tech product designed based on the reflection principle of electromagnetic waves during transmission and the principle of electromagnetic induction, incorporating digital filtering, wireless reception, and software control.

Electromagnetic Induction: The fundamental working principle is as follows: An transmitter generates electrical and magnetic waves, which are then transmitted underground to the detected metallic pipeline through various transmission connections. Upon sensing the electromagnetic waves, the metallic pipeline induces current on its surface. This induced current propagates along the metallic cable, and in the process, emits electromagnetic waves back towards the ground. When the underground metallic pipeline test instrument's receiver detects the electromagnetic waves on the surface, it receives the signal directly above the metallic pipeline. The intensity variations of the received signals can then be used to determine the location and direction of the underground metallic pipeline.

The principle's realization conditions: Firstly, there must be a signal source capable of emitting sufficient electrical energy, forming an electric current in the transmission line designed for electrical power. As the current flows, it generates a magnetic field around the line; secondly, there must be a circuit capable of receiving this specific magnetic field, displaying the changes in the magnetic field as electrical signals.

3) Information is provided to the operator in three ways: by numerical size, the length of the light and sound gratings, and the tempo of the sounds, making the testing process easy and comfortable.

4) The receiver features low-battery alerts and automatic shutdown protection.

5) The receiver can be equipped with an A-frame or probe rod for pinpointing using the step voltage method.

6) The receiver is compatible with identification coupling pliers for pipeline identification.
