The High-Voltage Cable Outer Sheath Fault Tester is a high-voltage cable outer sheath testing system developed by our company in response to the development trend of high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage transmission in the current power system, where single-core cables experience multiple ground faults in their outer sheaths. Due to the typical use of single-core cables (voltage levels of 35KV to 500KV) in ultra-high-voltage transmission lines, the metallic shielding is usually grounded at one end or in segmented cross-connection, which can lead to significant circulating currents if the outer sheath is damaged, causing harm to the cable's main insulation. In accordance with the unique grounding method of ultra-high-voltage cable sheaths, this testing system is equipped with a bridge measurement section and a step voltage pinpointing section. By effectively combining these, it can perform tests on the grounding or leakage current of ultra-high-voltage single-core cable outer sheaths, as well as significant hidden dangers and main insulation faults in high-voltage cables. The equipment has no blind spots during testing, making it highly effective in locating leakage tracking faults on short cables and cable joints, and the entire system meets the requirements for high-voltage cable outer sheath fault testing.
